School Council

The school council is made up of representatives from each year group. The pupils are elected by pupil votes. Each year in the Autumn Term children are given the opportunity to stand for their year group. The council is made up of a Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer from Year 6, 4 representatives from Year 5, 2 from Year 4 and 2 from Year 3.

  Summer Term 2017 update:

On Thursday 8th June 2017 all pupils at St Thomas’ (CE) Junior School took part and voted in a school ‘mock’ General Election.

All year groups studied the party manifestos and made an informed decision on which party they would like to see in power in Westminster.

Autumn Term 2017 - update: School Council Survey                                                                                                Each term the school council organise a survey to gather views of the children. They asked four questions; the results of which are below.

  1. Do you feel safe in school? Yes 234, No 1, Don't know 10
