Welcome to Year 3!

 

We have many exciting and creative activities planned for you this year! Our topic to start the Summer term is Ancient Greece. We are looking forward to exploring the culture, geography and history of this ancient civilisation with you! 

In our weekly Science lessons, we will be looking at Light and Shadows. We have planned some fabulous investigations to help you learn all about this topic. 

 In English this half term, we will be looking at persuasive letter writing. We will be learning lots of new things in Mathematics including mass & capacity, money, time and statistics.  

A reminder that Wednesday is our PE day. The children will need to come to school in their PE kits every Wednesday and will remain in them throughout the day.

Active 15

Year 3 have Active 15 every day. It is an initiative which encourages children to adopt a healthy lifestyle. By participating in fifteen minutes of exercise every day, the pupils are improving their fitness whilst playing numerous games using lots of P.E. equipment.
