Reading Ambassadors 

Books are powerful.  Books have the power to shape and influence your knowledge and understanding, excite and inspire you, evoke emotion and allow you to make deep connections with characters that help you to find your space in the world. By embedding a culture of Reading for Pleasure within school, all children will have the opportunity to experience this and will leave Salusbury as confident, resilient individuals who can tackle what life throws their way. 

Our Reading Ambassadors help bring the love of reading across the school.  Children are interacting independently from adult led discussion to make recommendations around books - children are more likely to listen to recommendations from peers  than their teachers! 

The profile and importance of reading has been raised and kept fresh in the minds and hearts of the children.
