We are a Church of England voluntary controlled Junior school (age 7-11) situated in the old mining town of Featherstone, West Yorkshire. We have 356 pupils currently on roll with an above average 47% being pupil premium. We have three/ four form entry and the increase in pupil premium funding allows us to keep class sizes low with an average of 24 pupils per class. This enables teachers to thoroughly engage with each and every pupil to provide the best education possible.
We are heavily involved with the local church where we attend services at Easter, Harvest, Christmas and various other times during the year. We support local communities and fundraise for The Prince of Wales Hospice and Featherstone Food Bank as well as national charities such as Children In Need, Comic Relief and The Royal British Legion.
