Year 6
Welcome to the Year 6 page. We have lots of fun planned for this term including the Robin Wood residential and a trip to the Mining museum to tie in with our topic on Mining. Further details of what will be happening throughout the year can be found in the attachments below. Featherstone Rovers coaches and former players will be working with Year 6 children throughout the year.

PE day: Monday – please send your children in their PE kits on this day.
All children have been provided with a personalised school planner, which needs to be brought into school daily. All homework and reading should be recorded in these. Please sign these planners each week and ensure your child brings a water bottle to school every day. Planners can be used for non-urgent messages for your child’s teacher.
All homework will be published online on Google Classrooms and others could be on different websites. English will always be set on a Friday and due in the following Friday. Maths will always be set on a Monday and due in the following Monday. Your children have been provided with their passwords within school and each child has had a copy to take home.
SATs will be taking place the week beginning Monday 8th May. Please ensure full attendance during that week. Further information will be shared nearer the time.
Secondary School application packs have been distributed to all children and the closing date for online applications is the 31st October. You will find out your child’s school place offer on the 1st March by logging into your online account. If you need any support with your application, please contact school.
